Dr. Noel Griffith

Au.D., CCC-A

Dr. Noel spent her early life as a nomad, growing up in eight states.  She enlisted in the Army immediately following high school graduation, serving four years as an Arabic Linguist. Following her youngest sister’s diagnosis of hearing loss, she became fascinated by the field of audiology. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communicative Disorders and Sciences from Wichita State University and her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Florida.

She has been providing evidence-based, best-practice care in Nebraska since 2004, spending seven years of her career caring for exceptional, pediatric, and adult populations at Boys Town National Research Hospital (four of those years, she was Supervisor of Audiology at Boys Town National Research Hospital-West).  Following that position, she spent ten years in a private ear nose and throat practice, caring for patients of all ages. Her particular areas of interest are tinnitus, auditory processing, and aural rehabilitation.

She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), is a member of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA), and a member of the Nebraska Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSLHA), where she has served as a board member, Vice President, and committee chair. She currently serves as NSLHA's President-Elect.

Dr. Noel has resided in Omaha longer than any other city and enjoys serving the community that has become her home.  She spends her spare time enjoying the company of her family (and fur-family), supporting local non-profits (Basset and Beagle Rescue of the Heartland and Nebraska Ataxia are two of her favorites), and scuba diving in the ocean with her husband as often as they can slip away.
